"The Story of Camp Douglas" is the subject of the Thursday, May 5 program at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main Street, Glen Ellyn. The event begins at 7:00 PM. The author of the book by the same title as the program, David L. Keller, who is President of the Camp Douglas Restoration Foundation, tells the story of the camp's history. According to historic records, "More Confederate soldiers died in Chicago's Camp Douglas than on any Civil War Battlefield."The program begins at 7:00 PM and the cost is $5.00 per person.
